Deer Ticks!

As the summer kicks in to gear and everyone begins to spend more and more time outside and there is a common worry throughout the community, Deer Ticks! In Massachusetts the deer tick is a common tick and just as well it is a common threat for outdoor enthusiast. Between the months of April and September these ticks are most active. Although these ticks cannot jump or fly, they have the ability to cling to anyone/ anything that passes by and brushes up against it. The deer tick carries such diseases as Lyme disease and Babesiosis. Early diagnosis of these diseases can help greatly however a prolonged exposure to the tick increases the chance that the human will contract either of the two diseases. The most apparent sign of a deer tick is the bull’s eye shaped rash originating near the original bite. We here at Lynch Plant Healthcare offer not only a service but a general protection to keep the Deer ticks back off your property and at the same time out of your minds while you continue to enjoy your favorite summer days.
